TEAM is looking for a new editor!!!

EAIR is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified member of the association to the post of Editor (Editor in Chief) to Tertiary Education & Management from the 1st September 2012.
EAIR regards Tertiary Education & Management as an important dimension to the provision it makes for members and increasingly for the wider higher education community.
The current Editor, Professor Bernard Longden, will have completed his two year agreement to provide a caretaker role as Editor. This has provided EAIR with the opportunity to start the process of seeking a suitable replacement in good time for a seamless transfer of responsibilities.
The Editor is ex officio member of the EAIR Executive Committee and reports directly to that committee. The editor is supported on a day to day basis by administrative staff employed by Routledge.
The successful candidate will be appointed for an initial period of 4 years, with an option to renew the appointment for a further four years. EAIR will provide an honorarium. This is a fixed annual fee inclusive of all out of pocket expenses. The Editor’s Forum fee will be waived.
Those wishing to seek information about the appointment are encouraged to contact Bernard Longden (Bernard.Longden@gmail.com) who will be able to provide, in confidence, answers to those questions for which you may need further clarification before applying.
No formal application forms are necessary for this appointment; instead a letter of intent should be sent, by email, to the Chair of EAIR, Professor Jeroen Huisman (please use eair@eair.nl and use “Editor TEAM” as subject).
This letter of intent should be brief (at most 2 sides of A4) but sufficient to provide the Search Committee with sufficient information for them to assess the applicant’s suitability for the post of Editor. The letter of intent should be submitted by December 31st 2011.
